A winning Strategy for Lead generation

A winning Strategy for Lead generation

Last week, one of our “newish” Inner Circle Members posted this, and it made me smile:

“Just had a lady in another FB group tell me that giveaways would never work. I told her I was planning to do one as we speak. She said, ‘Don’t be scared to post your failed results.’ CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!   She doesn’t know Susan Bradley’s training

It made me smile because this Member has already found success, even though he’s kind of new. He’s confident that he is on the right track.

And the reason he’s confident is that our members learn how to use their data to track and measure their results.

So they don’t assume a marketing strategy works or doesn’t work.

They actually know.

And that’s the best tool we can give them. Because once they know what works, it’s easy for them to grow by doing more of what really works.

And ultimately, that’s the difference between the people who struggle to get traction, and the people who consistently make progress.

The ones who consistently make progress know they’re on the right track. So they stop trying all the things.

Want to see how we use data to see the long term effects of using Giveaways to generate leads?

The bottom line is that in 2021 the most important thing is to generate leads – more than ever, you want to make it a priority to own your data.

Because you can track and measure it, and then use it to control your sales.

Get ready for IOS14 changes in 3 short steps

At the Social Sales Girls, we’re working hard to make sure everyone in our Community has the information they need to continue to get results from ads.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Connect the new Facebook app to Shopify.
  2. Verify your domain in Facebook Business Settings.
  3. Setup your aggregate events in the order of priority.

You will not see immediate changes to everything, as things will happen over time as folks begin to opt-out of tracking. You can expect that:

  • Your custom audiences will get smaller so retargeting previous visitors will become harder.

  • Excluding purchasers and web, visitors will not be possible if they opted out of tracking.

  • Reporting into ads manager can be 24-48 hours behind giving less visibility into your campaigns.

  • Costs per conversion (any conversion) are likely to rise as well as optimizing for events.

  • Decay of lookalikes will occur where they will not perform as expected.

  • Interests will decay as more people will not allow you to track them. (most people think interests mean people like/follow a page but it actually means they like, follow, share a page or post, visit that website or app etc.)

Is the world of Facebook advertising over? No!

But, you will need to rely on data even more than before and that is not the data in the ads manager. Your testing needs to be longer or you may turn off your ads before the data has populated into Facebook Ads manager.

Make sure to watch me and our ads coach Leona Griffin because we answered a ton of questions!

We generally only create this kind of training for our Inner Circle Members.

But this is too important for you to miss.

I want to make sure you have the support you need to be successful.

Have you tried this to generate leads?

Have you tried this to generate leads?

The Perfect Giveaway is my favorite way to generate a lot of leads and begin the process of warming them up to become buyers.

I like to run this even before prime buying times.

This time, I’m running the event before Mother’s day and Father’s Day so that I can have a new group of people that will receive my emails and ready to buy when they need a gift.

This time, I decided to test two types of ads on Facebook and Instagram.

I’m testing:

1. Lead Ads using a Lead Form I created in Publishing Tools

2. Conversion Ads using a landing page on my site and a custom pixel conversion event

All my leads will go onto one list, and will receive an auto response via email as soon as they enter.

Watch below, as I walk you through the set up!

In the next few weeks, I’ll gather my results and share them with you!

Why I almost Closed The Social Sales Girls

Why I almost Closed The Social Sales Girls

Every year I talk about the Tribe Experience and what it’s done for my business.

But, what I bet you don’t know is that 4 years ago, before Tribe, I was making plans to shut down the Social Sales Girls.

My Shopify store was growing nicely, I was paying myself well, and it was profitable.

I’d finally got it to a place where it was easy.

But the (Social Sales Girls) Inner Circle. Not so much.

At the time, we had about 60 members (bless you if you remember this) and I was flopping around, trying to figure out how I could help my members grow their shops without working 24/7.

I felt like I was tap dancing on thin ice. every. single. day.

And then one day, an Inner Circle member ( thank you, Jennifer ) asked me if I’d heard of Stu McLaren and Tribe.

A few days later, I was enrolled in the Tribe Experience. I figured I had nothing to lose.

It was sink or swim.

And what happened is magical.

A few months later, I relaunched the Inner Circle, and began this incredible journey.

Today I believe that every business owner should build some recurring revenue into their business model. (Bonus points for doing it using digital products and services)

Many of our Inner Circle Members are doing just that.

  • They are teaching people their craft
  • They are creating VIP Memberships
  • They are creating “project of the Month” Memberships
  • And, they are shipping Subscription Boxes every month.

And now they have income security that most store owners can only dream about.

Last week I sat down with Stu McLaren, the founder of Tribe, and we had a chat about all the ways people are creating recurring revenue. Even people who sell products!

You can get a taste of what’s ahead by watching here:

I’m inviting you to join the Tribe workshop with me. I want you to see first hand what is possible for you. I want you to see how you might add a recurring revenue stream for a digital product or service.

Get registered here. It starts tomorrow!

How Lola went from Crickets to Crushing her Goals

How Lola went from Crickets to Crushing her Goals

Last week, Lola posted this in our Members only Group:

“I crushed my March sales goal finishing with a 69% increase in sales from the previous year in March! An even bigger win? I’m seeing the potential for an additional career path if I don’t want to work in the chair all day as a side gig until I reach my sales goal.”

And when I saw her post, I knew I had to get her to share, because I know that a few short months ago she was ready to pack it in.

Turns out, Lola had a breakthrough after a Planning Session a few months back where we did a deep dive into the new “Plan your Year” lesson in Conversion School.

If you’re a Member of the Inner Circle, you can find it here.

Lola tells me the lesson completely shifted her mindset, and the way she was thinking.

Instead of thinking:

“What am I doing wrong?”

She started tracking her numbers and asking herself:

“What work should I do to change this number?”

Fast forward a few months, and Lola’s no longer worried about sales. Instead, she’s Crushing her Goals.

Watch the full interview here to hear what Lola focused on, and how she created a no fail plan.

Do these 3 things and sleep better

Do these 3 things and sleep better

Last week I was answering member’s questions in our Inner Circle, and when I came across this question, I stopped in my tracks.

“What if my ultimate goal was to sell my business? What boxes does my business need to check in order to be attractive to a buyer?”

And if you know me at all, you know that this is my thing.

I’ve grown and sold 2 businesses, and my plan is to do it again.

But when I created my response, I realized that my advice is good for everyone.

It’s not just for people who might sell one day. Nope

It’s for every single one of us. And there’s one good reason to do these 3 things.

It will help you sleep better at night for sure. But really, it could save your bacon if disaster strikes.

Listen in and get started today.

If you prefer to read, here’s the short version:

1) Show the Buyer how they’ll make money

Demonstrate that your business provides you a paycheque and profit.

These are two different things. As small business owners, we often treat them as one thing.

A paycheque is for the person who takes on your role. It could be the buyer, or it could be someone they hire.

A profit is how the buyer will see that they can make a return on their investment.

The way you do this is by cleaning up your accounting now.

→ remove any ‘questionable expenses (think cellphones, entertainment, car payments).

→ instead, give yourself a raise to cover the cost of these items, and submit an expense claim for mileage and any other business expenses you’ve paid personally.

The reason you’ll do this is for you to show the true income you receive from the business, and the real cost of running the business. You’ll be able to see the profit, and your buyer will too.

Do this, and you’ll do a lot less explaining!

2) Demonstrate the value in a clear and simple way

Start tracking your metrics today.

Use a simple spreadsheet, and at the end of each week, record your sales, your conversion rate, and your average order value.

Make a note about the marketing activity you did, so anyone who looks at your sheet will see your growth over time, and will have an idea of how you’re marketing the business.

3) Get it out of your head and onto a Doc

Start documenting all the things you do that someone else will need to know in order to do your job.

Organize documents in folders:

  • Product
  • Processes
  • People

Over time, you’ll develop a habit of recording information that will allow you to hand over the reins to an employee or a potential buyer, and you’ll both feel confident that the business will thrive.
