This is the first version of the product that I’m betting on to reach sales of $50K.
Because things are getting real, and Q4 is around the corner, it’s time for us to step on the gas with this project.
I’ve decided that I’m just going to share it all.
And the easiest way to do that is to just offer you a seat at the table for our team meetings.
Here’s our first meeting. We launched this format with our Inner Circle Members first, but going forward, we’ll be going live in our free Facebook Group, Roadmap to $50K (link)
Watch and find see:
- The first look at our new product
- What’s great about it
- What’s not great, and how we’ll fix it
- A strategy tweak – because I’m looking for the best sales
- Our next steps

These three results tell me I’m on the right track even though I don’t have a ton of sales.
My advice to our Inner Circle Members is always to be really consistent with just a few things. If you do that, you’ll make progress. But often, it’s almost impossible to see that progress so it’s very tempting to change course and spend time looking for new...
Hmmmm… why have a box for sox? Maybe I’m missing something, but so much cheaper/easier to ship soft products without unnecessary packaging, and I think a millennial thing to not have mixed packages that are not recyclable (coated glossy). My shades are super lightweight and need a protective box but 51″ long and under 2 lbs but still a decent price for 1st class.
I’d look into a cute gift bag – there are very inexpensive and beautiful drawstring bags on AliBaba. You could ship probably twice as many bagged than boxes.
Thanks for your feedback, We’re in development phase, so we’re considering a bunch of options, and I have had several people mention this.
for branding purposes
I really love that you are showing us behind the scenes of how you are starting over. I am assuming you will be selling these via Facebook ads targeted at specific dog owners. I wouldn’t recommend wholesale as I attend all the major gift shows as an exhibitor and there are at least 25 sock companies out there.
A definite hook should be donating a % of sales to weiner dog rescue or some other dog related charity…
ha! I have a long history of selling wholesale. In 2014, (my last business) we phased out $1M of wholesale revenue to go all in on direct to consumer on Shopify. I still remember my last painful Trade Show!
